What do I need to get started?


  • Be 18 years of age or older
  • Hold a Manitoba valid class 5 license
  • Have a class 1 learner license (class 1A) with "I" endorsement
  • Medical certification



What is included?


  • 40-hours classroom training
  • 40 hours in-yard training
  • 40 hours in-cab training
  • Up to 80 hours of observation (if applicable)
  • 1 attempt at an MPI road test (1 fail uses up one attempt)
  • All classroom materials
  • Form T2202 provided- tuition tax credit
